How We Assess Each Opportunity.

Before representing an opportunity, we look beyond the headline proposition to understand who is involved, how the investment is structured, how it is intended to perform and what could prevent it from doing so. Our assessment considers the counterparties, operating processes, supporting information and principal risks.

We focus on opportunities supported by credible managers, counterparties and professional service providers, including fund managers, administrators, trustees and custodians appropriate to the structure.

Drawing on decades of combined experience across alternative investments and professional distribution, we provide intermediaries with the information and access needed to assess each strategy properly.

  1. Initial Screen

    We assess each opportunity on its own merits, considering the investment rationale, target market, structure, management team, commercial terms and overall fit with the Amathus Assets platform.

  2. Structured Assessment

    If an opportunity passes our initial screening, we examine it properly—who is involved, how the structure operates, where capital is deployed, how returns are intended to be generated and what could prevent the investment from performing as expected. We then assess the legal documentation, financial information, governance, service providers, conflicts, distribution arrangements and principal risks.

  3. Approval And Controls

    An opportunity is not made available through the platform until the required internal review has been completed, the intended audience is defined, and the relevant communications and distribution controls are in place.

  4. Market Engagement

    We distribute opportunities through appropriate professional channels, with each communication reflecting the intended audience, jurisdiction and permitted basis of distribution.

  5. Ongoing Oversight

    We remain engaged throughout the distribution relationship, coordinating periodic information, product updates, material developments, approved communications and appropriate record-keeping.
